GOOD FRIDAY

The day Jesus died is considered by many to be the Darkest day in the history of the world.

Even Jesus in the moment he was arrested said “This is the hour when darkness reigns”!

So isn’t it interesting that billions of people around the world now know this day as ” *GOOD FRIDAY* “. How can that be? How can we call the day when a loving God was crushed by the ones he loved “GOOD”.

In John 19:30 Jesus said “IT IS FINISHED“. With that he bowed his head and gave up his Spirit.

The last words of Jesus proclaimed that his mission was accomplished.

All the weight and guilt of sin came head to head with the spotless lamb of God. And in that moment, all sin past, present and future finally was atoned for.

Isaiah 53:5 says “By his stripes we are healed”. His pain was our healing. His blood our ransom.

Our rescuer at the cost of his own life had finally made a path of redemption for all who would believe.

In the *Broken Body* of Jesus is *Divine Health.*

In the shed *Blood Of Jesus* is *Forgiveness of sins and eternal life.*

Indeed it is called a *Sacred Friday, a Holy Friday, a Good Friday* where the perfect plan of God was executed on the cross of calvary for our sakes.

Abundance In Christ

A GOOD FRIDAY PRAYER

Jesus,

I grieve that the torture and sorrow You endured on the cross were necessary to save humanity.

Because You didn’t want me enslaved to fear, anxiety, or sin—You sacrificed Yourself so that Love could win.

It’s Love that hung upon the cross and gave up everything to rescue me. “It is finished” was a cry of victory, because You defeated everything that held me in captivity.

Because of Your sacrifice, I can experience intimacy with You forever. Thank You! Help me to know You more, and to reach people with the hope found in You.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
