CIC85: WHAT DOES CHOOSING CHRIST INSTEAD OF THE WORLD REALLY MEAN?

The world may remind you of what you lack, but God reminds you that He is enough.

TOPIC: *WHAT DOES CHOOSING CHRIST INSTEAD OF THE WORLD REALLY MEAN?*

CIC85: *CELEBRITY IN CHRIST EPISODE 85.*

Choosing Christ means leaving some people behind. Let God’s Word become louder than the voices trying to destroy your peace.

Sometimes, following Jesus means walking away from people, places, habits, conversations, and relationships that are pulling you away from God.

It can be painful when the people you once walked with no longer understand the direction God is leading you.

*Not everyone will celebrate your decision to follow Christ.*

_Some may call you different._
_Some may question your faith._
_Some may distance themselves from you._

And sometimes, you may have to love people from a distance because staying close to them is costing you your relationship with God.

*But remember this:* You are not losing everyone—You are choosing Jesus.

Jesus said, “Follow me.” He did not say the road would easy or always be comfortable. He called us to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him.

There will be moments when you have to choose between being accepted by people and being obedient to God. *Choose obedience.*

There will be moments when you feel alone because you refuse to participate in what everyone else is doing. *Stand firm.*

There will be moments when leaving something behind hurts more than you expected. *Trust God.*

Because, sometimes God has to remove certain influences from your path so you can fully walk in the direction He has prepared for you.

Don’t be afraid of walking alone for a season. Jesus is worth more than the approval of people.

You don’t need everyone to understand your journey. You need to remain faithful to the One who called you.

*If following Jesus costs you certain relationships, let it cost you.*

*If following Jesus costs you popularity, let it cost you.*

*If following Jesus costs you comfort, let it cost you.*

But never trade your relationship with Christ just to keep people who were never meant to determine your destiny.

*At the end of the day, the question isn’t, “Who will come with me?”

The question is:*

“Will I follow Jesus even if no one else does?”

*Choose Christ. Stay faithful. Keep walking.*

The road may become narrower, but His presence will never leave you.

*YOUR MIND NEEDS TO BE CLEANED, TOO.*

Sometimes, the greatest battle is not happening around you—it is happening inside your mind.

_Fear. Anxiety. Doubt. Anger. Pain. Worry. Sin. & Negative thoughts._

These things can slowly fill our minds until we begin to believe that there is no hope, no peace, and no way forward.

*But remember this:* Not every thought that enters your mind deserves a place in your heart.

The enemy may remind you of your past, your failures, your fears, and the things you can not control. But God reminds you of His promises.

📖 “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” — Romans 12:2. Read your Bible Daily so that the Holy Spirit can renew your mind daily.

God wants to renew the way you think. He wants to replace fear with faith, anxiety with prayer, doubt with trust, anger with forgiveness, worry with peace, and negative thoughts with His truth.

That is why we need to be careful about what we allow into our minds.

*What are you watching?*
*What are you listening to?*
*What are you constantly thinking about?*
*What voices are influencing your decisions?*

Because, what repeatedly occupies your mind can eventually influence your words, your actions, and your direction.

📖 “Set your mind on things above, not on earthly things.” — Colossians 3:2

_When your mind is overwhelmed, pray._

_When you are afraid, trust God._

_When you are anxious, give it to God._

_When negative thoughts attack you, answer them with the Word of God._

_When you fall, get back up and return to Him._

You don’t have to fight every battle with your own strength.

*Bring your thoughts to God.*

*Bring your fears to God.*

*Bring your pain to God.*

*Bring your questions to God.*

And let His Word become louder than the voices trying to destroy your peace.

📖 Philippians 4:8 teaches us to think about what is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and worthy of praise.

Guard your mind. Guard your heart. Guard what you allow to influence you.

The world may fill your mind with fear, but God’s Word can fill your heart with faith.

The world may remind you of what you lack, but God reminds you that He is enough.

You may not be able to control every thought that enters your mind, but you can choose which thoughts you will entertain, believe, and surrender to God.

*Today, choose God’s truth over fear.*

*Choose prayer over worry.*

*Choose faith over doubt.*

*Choose forgiveness over anger.*

*Choose God’s presence over negative thoughts.*

_Let God clean not only your surroundings, but also your mind._

*SHORT PRAYER:* Lord, renew our minds. Remove the thoughts that are destroying our peace and replace them with Your truth, Your Word, and Your promises. Help us to think in a way that honors You and to trust You even when we cannot understand everything. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
