The “Kingdom Of Heaven” consists of the rule of God in the world. It is made up of people of all races and from all nations who *loyally* follow God’s will on earth.
Jesus stressed that this new Kingdom was a major advance in God’s plan: its least member, he said, is even greater than John The Baptist *(Matthew 11:11).*
Jesus said his Kingdom doesn’t have a geographical boundary. It can’t be charted on a map unlike say China, USA, England etc
*It’s followers live right among their enemies, not separated from them by a wall or moat.*
Yet Jesus predicted that his Kingdom would show remarkable growth even in an evil environment bent on its destruction.
*Jesus had Undeniable Power.* He could quiet an angry storm and even walk on the surface of a lake. *Yet he used that power Compassionately* , for the sake of others: to feed the hungry and heal the sick.
He wasn’t concerned about a powerful image. He didn’t want Applause. He wanted *Repentance and Commitment* to the will of God.
Although he was the most powerful leader ever, he spent his time telling *Stories and Parables,* NOT raising an Army.
*A CHURCH ON ITS KNEES IS MORE POWERFUL THAN AN ARMY ON ITS FEET.*
As a true Messiah, he sought not to satisfy people’s false image of him but to please God.
At the beginning of his ministry, Jesus turned down a tempting offer of Glory and Territory (Matthew 4:8-11).
*THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS SO IMPORTANT, HE SAID, THAT BELONGING TO IT IS WORTH SELLING EVERYTHING A PERSON OWNS.*
The Kingdom Of Heaven is a kingdom of Spiritual NOT Political Power. Except a man is Born Again he cannot see it.
*QUESTION*: List some ways in which you see or experience the reign of Jesus today. What does this make for those who bring the good news to all nations?
The Gospel is the “Good News” that the illegitimate reign of Satan is coming to an end, that the victory of Jesus has been established, and the good news that all people everywhere can now begin to Obey everything that he has commanded.
The Bible is NOT a book of Religion… but A spiritual CONSTITUTION for the entire world. It is the answer to all the problems we face on earth.
