WHEN GOD IS TESTING YOU

Testing is LESS about God knowing something and seeing the results and is MORE about preparing you for the next season.

*TESTING IS PREPARATION FOR THE NEXT SEASON* It is preparation for PROMOTION.

*2 Chronicles 32:31* says, “But when envoys were sent by the rulers of Babylon to ask him about the miraculous sign that had occurred in the land, God left Hezekiah to test him and to know everything that was in his heart.”

*Psalm 105:19* says, “Until what he had said came to pass, the word of the Lord tested him.”

God wants to entrust you with something. *HE WANTS TO LAY AT YOUR FEET GREATER LEVELS OF RESPONSIBILITY*

This is NOT about you. This is about what God wants to do through you. *THIS IS NOT ABOUT YOUR GOALS, IT’S ABOUT GOD’S WILL*

This is not about you being celebrated as favoured. *This is about God’s Glory*

HE IS TESTING YOU BECAUSE THERE ARE SOULS THAT HANG IN THE BALANCE AND GOD IS PREPARING YOU AS A HARVEST WORKER.

God wants to entrust you with greater responsibilities in ministry.

*QUESTION:* HOW DO ACT WHEN IT SEEMS LIKE GOD ISN’T LOOKING?

How do you respond when you feel like God is at a distance, and maybe you can get away with a little bit more?

How do you steward what he has given to you even when it feels like he’s left you alone?

How greatful are you for what you have when it’s not what you preferred?

ANSWER THOSE QUESTIONS IN YOUR HEART.

God will test you in trying times to see if you’re ready for the blessing.

The blessing doesn’t refer to something you can just use for your own pleasure or entertainment, *THE BLESSING REFERS TO AN INCREASE IN RESPONSIBILITY*

An increase in Heavenly duties, that you might bless others near you. *IT’S NEVER ABOUT US*

We need believers who are willing to go through the fire.

*OUT OF THE TESTING COMES GREATER RESPONSIBILITY*

Because if the blessing comes, if the responsibility is given to you before you’ve gone through the testing, *THEN THE WEIGHT OF THAT RESPONSIBILITY WILL CRUSH YOU.*

If your character is not strong enough to uphold the weight of the responsibility and blessing, then *WHAT WAS MEANT TO BLESS YOU WILL CRUSH YOU.* and God doesn’t want that.

So, in those seasons where you feel God is distant, remember he is testing your faith, he is purifying you, he is drawing you closer, and ultimately, *HE IS TESTING YOU.*

Spiritual Growth is similar to Physical Health in that its cultivated by the practice of simple daily disciplines apart from church attendance. God's Will For all of us is found in HIS WORD! Be led by his Holy Spirit and act according to his character (Like Jesus)
