*WHY DID GOD HAVE TO COME DOWN TO US AS JESUS TO SAVE US?*

For us to understand that, we need to look at the covenants of God. *The Old and New Covenants.*

The Old Covenant was before Jesus was born on earth (BC). When God gave the humans a law (10 Commandments) to follow but they couldn’t keep them.

They broke the law and they sinned and when they sinned, they had to make an animal sacrifice to cover up their sin. Because the blood that shedded from the sacrifice would give them a new chance in life. *SO THIS WENT ON FOR SO LONG.*

And they taught that sacrificing daily would keep them Holy. But the sacrifice was just temporary, and every time they sinned, they had to make a new sacrifice again and again.

*THE REASON WHY THIS COVENANT FAILED WAS BECAUSE THE HUMANS DEPENDED MORE ON THE SACRIFICE THAN ON GOD*

And therefore a Saviour was prophesied. *Through Jesus Christ, God came down in human form.* And he came to forgive us by becoming the sacrifice for us.

He came to make the true sacrifice, which would make us *Holy For Eternity*, and since God is eternal, his shedded blood gives us eternal life
(John 3 vs 16)

And that is all because he loves us. That is the New Covenant of God. And the reason why God made 2 covenants was to prove that *NO MAN IS RIGHTEOUS BEFORE GOD*

No one can save themselves. We’re in need of a *Saviour* . And that is Jesus Christ. And we were made Holy through him. That is why God came down to save us through Jesus Christ.

The Gospel is the “Good News” that the illegitimate reign of Satan is coming to an end, that the victory of Jesus has been established, and the good news that all people everywhere can now begin to Obey everything that he has commanded.
