Jesus’ resurrection means that you can have a relationship with God. And when you read the Bible, you can encounter the living God.
He wants to know you, and for you to know Him! Jesus warned us about people who will not enter heaven.
In Matthew 7:21-23 Jesus warns about those who claim to follow him but do not truly live according to his teaching.
These People could be your so-called *Pastors, Elders, Prophets, Church workers and leaders etc.* They may look genuine according to the physical eyes and have large followers, but *LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING*
He says not everyone that says to me Lord, Lord shall enter into the Kingdom Of Heaven but only the one who does the will of my Father.
Jesus emphasises that it is not merely the Confession of faith that grants entry into heaven but also the genuine Obedience and submission to God’s will.
Jesus condemns those who outwardly profess faith in him but live hypocritical lives.
*Jesus didn’t die to give us a Religion.*
A RELIGION is what WE made out of his Death.
Jesus died to restore our *DAILY RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD ALMIGHTY*
In verse 22 he says Many will say to me on that day, Lord, did we not profesy in your name and in your name drive out demons? And in your name perform many Miracles?
These individuals may have engaged in religious activities and performed mighty works but their hearts were *NOT TRULY DEVOTED TO GOD* Their actions were driven by selfish motives rather than a genuine love for him.
When you put on the armor of God, you can find your strength in the One who created you and died for you.
Jesus emphasises obeying God’s Commands and living a righteous life. *FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD* if you have faith in Jesus then your good works should be *evident*
In verse 23 he declares I will tell them I never knew you. Away from me you evil doers!
Those who persistently live in disobedience and engage in unrepentant sin will not inherit the kingdom of heaven.
*TRUE FAITH IN JESUS IS MARKED BY A TRANSFORMED LIFE* that seeks to follow His teaching and live according to God’s standards. Characterised by love, Obedience, and a desire to know him Intimately.
You need the Holy Spirit to transform and guide YOU! He is your only hope to fight a life of sin *PENTECOST IS 50 DAYS FROM EASTER*. It is not by your might or by power but *BY MY SPIRIT says the Lord.*
Prepare for *Pentecost* by fasting, prayers, deleting worldly content from you lives, phones, social media etc. You’re a product of what you consume and environments you hang around.
*ONLY CONSUME THINGS THAT GLORIFY GOD THROUGH MUSIC, MOVIES, BOOKS, SOCIAL MEDIA AND YOUR DAILY RELATIONSHIPS*.
Bad company corrupts Good morals.
